Who are we?
Cassia is a new co-working café, opening in February 2021. Cassia takes the best elements of a café and a co-working space and combines them in a fantastic location on Bath Riverside. Guests are welcome to drop by and see us for breakfast or lunch, book a desk to work at for the day, or come and join us for a post-work drink. We can also offer room hire for meetings and events.
Cassia is an ethical company which strives to provide a great environment for its customers to enjoy and for our team to work in. We’re looking for team members who want to commit to a career with us and help us deliver a new and first rate co-working café experience to its customers.
We will serve a plant focussed (though not plant exclusive) menu. Cassia will also be a dog friendly environment, but to maintain a relaxing atmosphere in which to work, we are not catering to under 12’s.
Front of House team
What we’re looking for….
Cassia is looking to hire three full time front of house staff (35 hours p/week) and one part time (20+ hours). All these roles paid at Living Wage as a minimum (£9.50 per hour) or higher depending on experience.
We are looking for motivated individuals to help us serve guests to a high standard, in café, bar and meeting room settings. This will be a mix of seated and takeaway food and drinks. You’ll help us maintain strict cleaning and hygiene guidelines and help to ensure we’re Covid-compliant. You may also help us with occasional evening events like wine tastings, quiz nights and so on.
About you...
Friendly and confident. Able to work in the pressure of a hospitality environment
Passion for working within a community, both the immediate team and the wider Cassia community
Organised and well presented
Minimum two years previous experience in either cocktail or coffee environment is preferred, however full training will be provided for the right individual

Chef de Partie
What we’re looking for….
Cassia is looking to hire a strong, full time (40 hours p/w) CDP to assist the Head Chef in all areas of food preparation, and to adhere to all relevant food hygiene, and health & safety standards.
About you...
A passion for plant-based food
Excited to work within a community; both the immediate team and the wider Cassia community
Highly organised and well presented
A basic understanding of stock control and gross profit
Minimum two year’s experience in a previous role (CDP or similar)
This role will be paid at Living Wage as a minimum (£9.50 per hour) or higher depending on experience.
